Tell your LOCAL MEDIA about the Freedom to Breathe!

We are counting down! October 1st is almost here and Catalyst is ready to celebrate. Before we do, it is time to talk it up and spread the word! We got some great news coverage of the Catalyst rally at the Capitol and now it is time for Catalyst members across the state to reach out to local media outlets and spread the word.
We have something that will help you get started! Check out this template press release. All you need to do is fill in the blanks with your info and you are ready to go. Add your name, hometown, and your own comments about why MN going smoke-free rocks!
Once you've added your personal touch, go ahead and share it with your local newspaper and school newspaper. Be sure to include an awesome photo from the summit or rally - there are plenty to choose from on Catalyst's flickr page!
You can usually find contact info for your local paper online, and you can email the release and a photo, fax the release, or drop off a hard copy at the newspaper's office. And your school paper should be easy :)
Email us if you have any questions, and definitely send us a copy of any news stories you end up with. Good luck!
