Posted March 20, 2008 in Talk | 46 views | 0 comments

Can't make it to Austin to celebrate KBD with us on Saturday April 5th?  Don't worry - you can take action in your own community on the 5th.

Ignite is a national youth-led movement focusing on making sure public officials are acting in the best interest of the people they rpresent, and not in the best interest of Big Tobacco.

Ignite was actually started by a group of teens in movements similar to Catalyst from across the country.  They are now college students, and the movement has grown to include high school and college students active in more than a dozen chapters across the country.  Ignite is a completeley independt organization - a nonprofit led entirely by young people.

Each year Ignite organizes a National Day of Action to raise awareness abotu impotant tobacco issues facing our public officials.  This year they are focusing on FDA regulation of tobacco.  To learn more about the FDA issue, check out our FDA overview.
