Hmmm. Where to begin. I have three younger brothers. They are all on the east coast, but I hope they will be heading to MN to visit soon. I love to run, swim and be outside, and I am a beach person, but am learning to love lakes and mountains too. I love msic and art and anything creative. My favorite country to visit is Italy - I love the language, art, music, culture, history, and of course, the food. Ok, that's enough about me for now . . .

More good news coming our way from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: The Milwaukee Public Schools system is making efforts to improve the nutritional quality of the meals it offers, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The school system has partnered with the national nonprofit Growing Power, Inc., to incorporate more vegetables into the district's snack program and improve the nutritional quality of the schools' lunches and vending machine options. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) have introduced the Menu Education and Labeling (MEAL) Act, which would require fast-food restaurants to post the calorie content of menu items, along with other nutrition information, on menu boards, the Los Angeles Times reports. UH oh! Holly Aprea, it's so good to hear from you! I must say that I have been looking forward to the block party. I have had it on my calendar since, like, a month ago. I even told Caleb that the only reason I wouldn't be there is if I died (possibly of being bored) at Business camp. But I had lots of fun at camp... so that turned out to be untrue.
The only OTHER reason I would miss the block party is if my mother decided that it would be much more fun (and much easier for her- which is probably true) for me to play KICKBALL and have rootbeer floats with the younger crowd in my neighborhood as part of the festivites tonight! I am so sad (and very sorry) that I can't make it!!!!!!!!
